History
Formed in 1929, the Winchester New Allotment Holders Society started providing allotments in the Stanmore area of Winchester where our first plot-holders began. In fact, in 2014 one of our oldest plot-holders aged 93 gave up after 74 years on the same 10 rod plot where he 'dug for victory' throughout the Second World War.
Today we have 12 allotment sites in Winchester ranging from over 250 to just 6 plots. We have over 400 members looking after around 600 plots. We also have a number of Trading Members who use our trading shed and some Affiliated Societies who do the same for their members.
